Norse mythology tells of two ravens; Huginn (from Old Norse "thought") and Muninn (Old Norse "memory" or "mind") who travel the world, seeing all and thus enlightening the almighty god Odin with knowledge.

Forged from high quality sterling silver, with a dark oxidised finish, combined with the use of hematite, apatite, blue topaz, Annika Rutlin's Raven Collection is fused with associations to the Viking age.

Hematite was chosen as a stone of healing. Apatite is said to attune a person to both their future and their past, and there is a belief that topaz protects the wearer from an early death.

Vikings used ravens to navigate the seas. These birds were brought on voyages and then released and observed to help chart their path towards land. The raven was held in such high esteem that it became an emblem used on flags.
