A strikingly strong symbol the cross carries great meaning and significance to many.

Whilst being widely recognized as a symbol of Christianity, symbols utilising two intersecting lines and cross-shaped incisions make their appearance from deep prehistory, undoubtedly partly due to the simplicity of the design.
