Welcome to the longest day of 2023!
With the morning sun peeping over the horizon at approx 4.40am this morning I woke early and even managed to hang the washing before joining my 'Salty Dippers' crew for a 7am crocodile crawl (low tide, dodge the rocks) dip in the sea. Whilst we could not actually see the sun, due to a descending sea mist that made the south coast chalk cliffs look beautifully magical, we tried to guess how long the day actually is today.
So once back home I looked it up.
Sunset here will take place at about 9.20 pm, giving nearly 17 hours of daylight on this the longest day of the year.
If you love the sun why not mark the brightness of summer with the Annika Rutlin Solstice silver jewellery collection, available at www.annikarutlin.com
A circular styled silver jewellery collection honouring the amazing power of the sun.
The Solstice Collection celebrates this rebirth of hope and happiness, and the soft tranquil designs embody the excellent quality of workmanship and finish for which Annika Rutlin has quite rightly become renowned.
Featuring a particularly beautiful choice of chains, the collection also boasts unusual bangles, torc necklaces, pendants, rings and earrings
The summer sun brings us warmth and love...Stay out late and shine on the longest day of the year wearing a jewel to bring you joy.
Happy summer solstice ☀️
