One of Annika Rutlin's longest standing stockists, Leeds independent retailer Argent has just reopened it doors after an amazing total shop refit. An exciting refurb that has refreshed and updated this gorgeous establishment in the UK's 'best shopping destination' (as named by The Rough Guide to Britain).
Situated in the historic Thorntons Arcade in the heart of Leeds City Centre, Argent is a mecca for jewellery lovers seeking a diverse range of exquisite jewellery by British designers and sought after international names.
Highly regarded for their principles of excellence and innovation in design, quality and individuality, Argent believe honesty, trust and respect are important in their relationships with customers and designers alike. An attitude that Annika Rutlin wholeheartedly agrees with and shares, and one that has resulted in a working relationship that has lasted over 20 years.
Annika has not only sold her own collections through Argent but also worked closely with founder Claire Douglas to create bespoke pieces for her customers.
Utilising modern CAD tools to create images to an individual's specification before expertly hand crafting truly unique jewellery to match the customers desires and requirements, pieces can be designed and made in silver, gold, platinum and palladium with any option of gemstone.
This service has been extended to incorporate up-cycling and reuse of customers old or broken jewellery, often re purposing unused sentimental pieces into modern tailor-made designs.
If you live in or close to Leeds why not pop in and check out the shops new look, have a browse or take advantage of this exciting and personal service..... enjoy the stimulating 'Argent experience'.
If you have time we would also recommend the short trip down to the Leeds dock to visit the Royal Armouries Museum, home to the national collection of arms and armouries, where you will find the only surviving example of elephant armour.
Annika personally has a long standing love of elephants... For many years as a child having a reoccurring dream that she carried an elephant in her pocket, which became life size when called forth so she could ride it to school, then pop it back in her pocket until it was time to ride home again... At some point there will undoubtedly be an Annika Rutlin elephant collection!
